MIDPOINT project EVGE was selected to compete in Un Certain Regard in Cannes

The feature film debut EVGE (previously HOMEWARD), directed by Nariman Aliev (Ukraine), was developed at MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2018, a program organized by a training platform MIDPOINT which operates under the auspices of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

MIDPOINT Feature Launch is a training program aimed at emerging creative teams (filmmakers, directors and producers) from Central and Eastern Europe who are developing their first or second feature film projects. This intensive four-module program is focused on script and project development as well as other funding and co-production possibilities.

The director Nariman Aliev and producer Vladimir Yatsenko from the production company LIMELITE participated in this program in 2018. The core tutor of the EVGE project was Pavel Jech (MIDPOINT Artistic Director).

The project was presented in 2018 within KVIFF at Works in Development – Feature Launch.
